  • The Legal team handles claims, contract governance, incident management, marine and vessel insurance and deals with global stakeholders on a daily basis.
  • The team had some of the lowest training participation/completion rates across all of the Maersk teams, standing at a mere 4%.
  • Traditionally, training at Maersk India involved classroom sessions, which meant very little flexibility for employees and high travel costs for the company.


  • Because of its e-learning nature, participants have defined their own learning pace, choosing when to do the training.
  • The gamification techniques implemented in the simulator have made it possible to increase the motivation and level of engagement of the user.
  • Thanks to experiential learning (practice and feedback), the participant has tested the skills learned in situations similar to those in real life, thus increasing confidence.
