Ibrahim Jabary, CEO of Gamelearn, receives the Learning! Champion award for ‘Innovator of the Year’

Ibrahim Jabary, Gamelearn CEO

Ibrahim Jabary, CEO of Gamelearn, leading company in corporate training through video games, has been awarded the 2016 Learning! Champion as ‘Innovator of the Year’ for his contribution to the training industry.

This recognition, awarded by the prestigious organization Elearning Media Group, rewards the visionary path explored by Jabary, founder and CEO of the company Gamelearn, which has revolutionized the field of corporate training with its serious games for skill development.

The Learning Champion Awards honor those consultants, experts and professionals with extensive experience in the field of training and whose influence provides impetus to the learning industry.

Innovation has precisely been the leitmotiv that has guided Ibrahim Jabary, and also what led him to found Gamelearn in 2009. The executive noted the pressing problem presented by traditional e-learning, ineffective for its enormous deficits when motivating students.

Only 30% of the people who started an e-learning course actually completed it, according to a study by Forrester Research. In this situation, Ibrahim Jabary is committed to video games as a solution. Learning through the game makes the process a motivating and much more effective experience, bringing benefits to the learning process, assimilation and retention of what is learned.

With Gamelearn, a pioneer in the development of game-based learning solutions for the learning of soft skills, Jabary has changed the way we learn for thousands of people. Focused on the corporate sector, the Spanish company has trained more than 100,000 professionals from 1000 companies around the world with its unique methodology based on the use of the video game.

And what is it that makes Gamelearn different? Basically, these three aspects:

  • Useful content with a practical approach
  • Simulators
  • Gamification techniques

Thanks to Gamelearn, Jabary puts an end to the problems associated with e-learning, especially when we talk about the development of managerial skills such as negotiation, leadership or time management. His games achieve completion, applicability and recommendation rates above 90%, without sacrificing quality content and with the possibility for the participant to obtain constant and personalized feedback.

The success of the three simulators has enabled Jabary and Gamelearn to launch the first game-based learning platform in the market. In this way, corporate training through video games becomes even more accessible to any organization in the world: there is no need to install additional software, since all Gamelearn products are in the cloud and only require an Internet connection.

A training reaching all five continents (the contents are adapted to Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch and Chinese) and through any device (PCs, smartphones, tablets…).

This is not the first international award received by Ibrahim Jabary. His innovative methodology has already won several awards, including two by Best of eLearning! obtained in 2014 and 2015; the gold medal for technological excellence in the Brandon Hall Awards, the two inclusions in the top training company by Training Industry in 2014 and 2015; the gold medal at the LearnX Impact Awards and the prize awarded by the Serious Play Association to Pacific, the last serious game created by Ibrahim Jabary and designed to develop leadership and team management skills.
