About Gamelearn

What is Gamelearn?

With more than 3,000 corporate clients on 5 continents, Gamelearn is the world’s leading company in the development of video games for corporate training. With a subscription to Gamelearn’s online platform, you’ll be able to access the most award-winning serious game catalog on the market — or build your own professional-quality games.

Why use video games for corporate training?

Video games improve the results of your corporate training by engaging and motivating students, which is instrumental in helping them retain the information they learn.

Numerous studies have shown that video games are one of the best teaching approaches available. By using simulators and gamification techniques, the games hook users in by stimulating more areas of their brain, boosting their self-confidence, increasing their knowledge, getting them hands-on practice, and, ultimately, offering a more effective and lasting learning experience. And all this while they’re having fun!

Technical aspects

How do I access video games?

Our courses are very easy to access. All you need is an internet connection, a username, and a password.

Students will receive an email with their login details, then they’re just one click away from accessing the platform. You can access it from a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

Can it be integrated into my Learning Management System (LMS)?

The Gamelearn platform uses international IT standards that allow for integration with most LMSs currently on the market.

LMSs such as Cornerstone, Moodle, and SAP Success Factors use the same protocol and can be easily integrated with Gamelearn video games.

The platform also permits an SSO (single sign-on) from your LMS account to do away with the need to have separate usernames and passwords to play Gamelearn games.

Are there any additional costs to integrate it with my LMS?

Although it will depend on the technical complexity of your LMS, in principle, the integration entails no extra cost. Please contact us or your Account Manager to get more details about integrating it with your LMS.

Will the games work at my company, from a technical standpoint?

Yes. Our games use the latest technology in HTML5 and Javascript to adapt to all networks and devices (computers, tablets, and smartphones).

Before kicking off any training, we can help you run a technical test to verify that everything is running properly.

Are your serious games secure?

Totally! Gamelearn servers are hosted at Tier IV or III+ facilities that are not only SSAE-16, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001 compliant but also safeguarded by the most stringent security measures. We regularly scan for security threats and conduct penetration tests on the different applications in our family of serious games.

Our serious games

Who can play Gamelearn’s video games?

Anyone can learn with Gamelearn. There’s absolutely no need for any background knowledge or experience with video games — our courses are highly playable even for those who have never played a video game in their lives. Additionally, by using simulators, our games can be adapted to each user’s difficulty level.

Gamelearn games are implemented through training programs in companies and organizations. Contact your human resources department if you’d like your company to offer our games to its staff.

Can Gamelearn courses be subsidized? (Spain only)

Yes. In Spain, several of our courses can be 100% subsidized by the country’s State Foundation for Employment Training (FUNDAE). Hundreds of companies have already benefited from these subsidies to offer Gamelearn games.

Can I try your games?

Where does the content come from for your serious games?

At Gamelearn, we’ve poured in endless hours to ensure that our content is of the highest quality.

In this regard, for instance, during the development of Pacific, we conducted over 200 interviews with executives, CEOs, and managers from around the world over a 12-year period; For Merchants, we used the Harvard Method of Negotiation as well as Dr. Chester L. Karass’ “Effective Negotiating” as our basis. This high-quality content has been infused into video games to ensure students are immersed in the material and getting hands-on practice through simulators.

In what languages are your video games available?

All of our serious games are available in Spanish, English, French, and German, but some are offered in additional languages as well.

To learn more, or to check the availability of a language, contact us here

Can the games be customized?

At Gamelearn, we have ready-made serious games that offer well-defined and structured content, as well as customizable serious games that clients can change to meet their specific needs and objectives. Also, our authoring tool, the Editor, lets you turn your current training content into professional-quality video games like the ones we offer in our catalog — all without needing to code!

Creating video games out of your training content is now quick and easy. You can include your own material, images, and videos according to what your company’s objectives are.

Can Gamelearn games be played as a team?

Our serious games are played individually. Each student has their own score and can move through the game at their own pace. This model allows them to receive personalized feedback on the answers they give or the strategies they use. It’s also a way of making sure students are getting the knowledge they need to complete the course.

That said, we always recommend launching our training programs in classes or groups within the company, as it gives coworkers the opportunity to compete and interact with each other. In all of our games, students can see their overall ranking as well as how their coworkers are doing. In some cases, they can even give gifts or send notes to each other.

This means that even if Gamelearn games are played individually, they offer employees a social experience they can share with their coworkers.

Can classes be created for different departments or different countries at the same time?

Yes. The Gamelearn platform gives you the flexibility to organize classes as you like. Not only can you create groups within the same department, city, or country, those groups can compete against teams from other areas or departments. Anything is possible, and you can choose what suits your staff best.

What professional profiles do your serious games target?

Our video games are designed for any company that wants to help its employees improve personally and professionally.

Our serious games have been used to train teams in Sales, Purchasing, Finance, Administration, Marketing, Communication, Legal, Business Development, Reception, Phone Support, After-Sales, Customer Service, and more.

Our platform focuses on transversal skills like productivity, time management, effective communication, change management, leadership, results orientation, analytical thinking, planning, and conflict resolution — all skills that make our games a useful training tool for any professional.

What topics and skills do your games tackle?

How long does it take to finish a serious game?

Given that our courses are based on “learning by doing,” the duration of our games depends on the student’s proficiencies and abilities. However, some courses are designed to be longer and can take 8 hours or more to complete. The shortest Gamelearn courses don’t take longer than 3 or 4 hours.

Can I still access the content after finishing the course?

You can download any readings and lessons during the game, which means you can save and access them whenever you need to.

Does replaying your serious games make sense?

Yes. In fact, we urge students to play them again every 9 or 10 months to refresh their knowledge and habits. By doing so, students can reinforce the previous learning experience and keep the content at the forefront of their minds.

Is there some sort of certificate or diploma for completing the games?

Yes. When you finish the course, you will receive a diploma stating that you successfully passed the training.

Can your serious games adapt to company committees? (for the German market, works council or 'Betriebsrat')

Yes, Gamelearn’s serious games can adapt to the requirements of works councils. Students can use pseudonyms instead of their real names, and we protect the data of your employees at all times while providing them with a secure environment to train on their own.  Employees can also organize their training time during work hours and will even have a help portal to address any concerns or problems they may have.

Gamelearn support and services

How can I purchase your serious games?

Clients access our platform through a yearly subscription model which gives them a certain number of seats. These seats determine how many students can enter the platform’s Campus. With this annual subscription, the user of each seat will have access to the entire catalog of serious games available on the Campus.

As for the administrator of the client account, they will also have access to the LMS, where they can manage student activity, create and monitor classes, build learning pathways with various courses, and set up reports to better manage the training plan.

The use of our game authoring tool, the Editor, must be purchased separately.

What is the service “Customer Success”?
